Your Precious New Granddaughter

Only 9 short months ago,
your wee baby granddaughter started to grow,
Your hearts were filled with joy untold
and soon this baby you would hold.
The clock began to tick and tick
and then you felt the baby kick
A sign that everything was fine
and now it would be a matter of time
When you would see this miracle arrive
and not believe your very eyes
What a beautiful baby was in your world,
tiny and perfect, worth more than
GOLD!

Her toes are so tiny, her eyes are so blue,
her lips like a heart and she belongs to you.
The days ahead will fill your lives
with this wonderful, precious, lovely
SURPRISE!

From the first time you held her
and saw her wee face,
You felt a small
ANGEL
was in your embrace.
She'll dazzle you with things that she'll do
and she might even be a little like
YOU!

The days will pass quickly and every new phase
will thrill you and charm you and truly
AMAZE!

God has blessed you with this precious wee girl
to fill up your hearts and open your world
To the wonder of what a miracle is,
this baby so soft when you plant a kiss
On her dear little cheek and she gives you a sigh
and you wipe a small tear as it falls from your eye.
You'll protect her and hold her and keep away harm,
she'll hug you and love
YOU
and feel SAFE in your arms.

Enjoy the journey watching her grow,
changing so quickly, days passing by
Plucking at heartstrings, questioning why
"Is the sky blue? Is the grass green?"
From baby, to toddler,
To school girl, to teen.

We couldn't be happier for you at this time,
I've run out of words and I've run out of rhyme.
You'll be wonderful grandparents with much love to give,
Today is the start of a new chapter to live.
You'll fill all the pages with memories new,
CONGRATULATIONS to BOTH OF YOU!
