I don't know how it happened
Or how it all began
But along this road of life
God gave to me a friend.

He brought us to a crossroad
Where a need was met
And there began a friendship
I never shall forget.

Although I've never seen her
These eyes did not behold
I've seen her beauty shining
From within her heart of gold.

She gives herself so freely
In all she says and does
In her kind, unselfish ways
She's as gentle as a dove.

Her joy is so contagious
She always makes me smile
I lift a thankful heart
Each time I see LOL!

Thank you, Lord, for friendships
Especially for this one
Bless and keep her safely
When the day is done.
