CHRISTMAS
LONG AGO

The aroma of pine as we decorate
Our old fashion Christmas tree
Mistletoe garnishes the fire place
Stockings hung up there by me.

Candles in every window
Home made wreath upon the door
Packages wrapped with so much love
Singing carols as we sit on the floor.

Mother on the piano
Dad singing a little off key
Cakes baking in the oven
This is the kind of Christmas for me.

Jesus in every room we share
His picture on the wall
Bible verses read out loud
Family prayer was our last call.
